CLASS ATTENDANCE POLICY (MAKE-UP SESSIONS AND RE-TAKES): In keeping with our primary goal of delivering the most effective financial modeling training to our students, our attendance policy is flexible to accommodate your already demanding schedule and any unexpected occurrences. Missed classes can be made up at your earliest convenience at no extra charge. If expected absences are known in advance, make-up classes can even be attended ahead of time. Similarly, if it becomes necessary for you to re-take any sessions, you can do so as your schedule permits. We offer multiple classes simultaneously; there are always numerous options available and we will be happy to include your name on the roster for desired makeup (and/or re-take) sessions. Additional seats are always set aside in reserve for this purpose.

PROFILE OF IBI LONDON BANKER - INSTRUCTOR
MAKSIM GAUTTSEL is a senior corporate finance professional, who lives in London, with over 10 years of experience in complex valuations of public and private companies, M&A, financial due diligence and consolidation of groups’ accounts according to IFRS and US GAAP. He holds an Executive MBA Degree from Columbia Business School and London Business School.
Maksim is working in the M&A and Strategy team at Lambert Energy Advisory ("LEA"). Before joining LEA, Maksim spent more than 2 years with the Business Valuations Division team at Pricewaterhousecoopers (“PwC”) in the Transaction Services division. Maksim joined the PwC Moscow office in 2006 as an Associate of Assurance department. During 3.5 years at PwC Moscow he mainly worked with Russian Oil & Gas majors advising them on business valuations, creating group accounts and groups’ restructuring, after which, he was selected to be seconded to the PwC London office – an opportunity only available to the brightest candidates.
Serving as a senior finance professional at PwC London, Maksim led a variety of business valuations, M&A and financial due diligence projects.
Maksim was mainly focused on Energy, Utilities, Mining and Infrastructure industries at PwC. His clients were Gazprom, Centrica, SIBUR-Holding, Transneft, ENRC, etc. Since joining LEA, he has been focused on the Oil & Gas industry.
Prior to PwC, Maksim worked as an Analyst in the commercial credit department of Bank Aktsept, Russia and he also led a start-up auto credit project in Sibacadembank, Russia.
Maksim holds Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Economics in the fuel and energy industry from the Novosibirsk State Technical University. He is also a Chartered Accountant (ACCA).
